AuburnEaglesBasketball.com is the official online resource for Auburn High School Basketball. The site is owned and operated by Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Doug Hylton and his affiliates. It provides up-to-date news, scores, statistics, and other baskteball related information to the Auburn players, students, families, and community.

Located in Riner, VA, Auburn High School is operated by Montgomery County Public Schools and competes in the Three Rivers District (Group A, Region C, Division A) of the Virginia High School League.   The Three Rivers District also includes the High Schools of Eastern Montgomery, Floyd County, Giles, Glenvar, and Radford. In non-district play, Auburn also competes against local rivals Blacksburg and Christiansburg.

In June 2009, Doug Hylton was hired as the Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at Auburn. Coach Hylton is a 1988 graduate of William Byrd High School in Vinton, VA, where he was a 3-year letterman at the point guard position. Hylton also played Division III basketball at Ferrum College in the early 90s, before becoming the Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at Christiansburg High School in 2006.

Coach Hylton brings to Auburn three years of head coaching experience in the River Ridge District, arguably one of the toughest districts in the state of Virginia. Known for his vocal coaching during games, Hylton is highly respected by his former players and assistant coaches for his coaching style and teaching skills off the court. Coach Hylton values and teaches the concept of "people first", and the passion with which he has lived this value enriches the lives of everyone he touches.
